A cocktail bar has been given the green light to open late at a 400-year-old building.
The historic 31 Droitwich High Street property will soon be home to a luxury cocktail and tapas bar.
Angelo Petritaj is one of the men behind the project, along with Josef Millard, who has already tasted local success with his Italian restaurant, all’Angelo, on Queen Street.
Mr Petritaj has now confirmed that his new venture has been granted a licence to serve customers until 1am.
“It’s really been a very long process just to get to this point and it has been well over a year already since we began the process of acquiring licenses,” he said.
“Now that this process is complete we are excited to start working towards an opening date!”

The bar will offer a range of wines, aperitifs, cocktails, coffee and soft drinks.
Alongside this will be “tapas-style dining” with small plates of high-quality food available throughout the day and into the late evening.
Mr Petritaj is now looking forward to designing the interior of the bar ahead of a launch planned for next summer.
He said: “The next step for us is to design the interior, maximising the potential of this building and location for the residents of Droitwich.
“We want to create a space that honours and matches the history of the building, while adding some light and warmth to the space.
“It’s exciting for us to be a part of re-opening the doors to one of Droitwich’s oldest buildings.
“We’re aiming to bring this venture to life by summer 2022, and cannot wait to begin welcoming people in!”
Mr Petritaj added that he hopes his new business will help change the face of Droitwich’s nightlife.
"There is nothing in town late at night so all the people from Droitwich, especially on the weekends after a meal, go to Birmingham or Worcester,” he said.
"People are not staying in Droitwich and we want to bring the local economy a little bit up.
"We want to offer something different, you might see a place like this in London, Manchester or Birmingham but we want to integrate it into Droitwich."
