THESE photos show what life is like inside luxury flats at The Old Fire Station after a party was held to welcome new residents.

A party was held for new residents who moved into The Old Fire Station last week as they were joined by immediate neighbours and builders involved in the project. Photos also show the new private roof top garden area and the views of Worcester Cathedral and city skyline. These dramatic photos by Jan Sedlacek show the development complete.

It is a year since we provided a first look inside the luxury apartments within the city's former fire station.

Worcester News:

The luxury development feature one, two and three bedroom apartments in the historic building on Copenhagen Street.

The building had been left empty since fire chiefs relocated in 2015. It was built between 1939 and 1941 by Percy Thomas.

Thomas also designed the former police station opposite the fire station.

Its former life as a fire station means that the premier apartments have two foot thick walls which are apparently bomb proof.

The Old Fire Station still has the character features including high ceilings, tall windows, chimneys, and a solid construction.

There is a private roof garden for residents with panoramic views of the city as well as ten foot ceilings and seven foot high windows on the first floor.

Residents can enjoy even more views from the old viewing tower.

The property is being marketed by ChocolateBox Homes.
