An entire stairwell near Crowngate's bus station exit is now, quite literally, under wraps.
When complete, the work will improve the lighting and make the stairs safer for shoppers.
A spokesperson for Crowngate Shopping Centre said: "We are currently undertaking a programme of works to refurbish areas of Crowngate shopping centre.
"As part of this programme, all external staircases are being given a general uplift, which includes upgrading the lighting and installing safety rails. We expect works to be completed and the All Saints staircase (close to All Saints road) to be re-opened early next year, works will then commence on the remaining staircases."
