A WOMAN who threw a £4,000 bike has been fined.
Joanne Corbett, of North Malvern Road, Malvern, was found guilty of criminal damage after a Worcester Magistrates Court trial.
Andrew Mitchinson, prosecuting, said, on February 14, this year the 49-year-old had left her flat in Malvern and thrown her neighbour's bike recklessly, damaging the frame.
He said Corbett committed the crime following a complaint about the noise from Corbett's flat.
In the witness box, Corbett denied being drunk and throwing the bike.
But Mr Mitchinson pointed out to magistrates that the witness who saw her throw the bike had no reason to lie.
After short deliberations chairman of the magistrates bench, Jacqueline De Sousa, said they had found Corbett guilty of the offence.

Corbett, who had no previous convictions, was fined £60, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34.
Corbett was also ordered to pay compensation of £1,000 to the victim Jordan Fung.
She will pay the total, £1,094, at a rate of £40 a month.
Corbett was defended by Blaise Shervington during the case, heard at the court on November 4.
