HERE are the latest cases heard at Worcester Magistrates Court. 

 

A MAN who stalked his ex and punched her new man has been told to do unpaid work by magistrates. 

Kevin Halsall, of Friar Street, Droitwich, admitted two charges of criminal damage, assault by beating and stalking when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.

The 47-year-old took part in the stalking between January 1 and June 26 this year, the stalking including Halsall hanging around outside her property including hiding in bushes. 

He was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.

 

A heartless man stole a bike a teenager relied on to get to work. 

Jamie Purser admitted theft of a pedal cycle when he appeared at the court.

The court heard the victim had left the bike chained up outside the Benedicto's restaurant in Sidbury.

The 30-year-old, of Dent Close, Worcester and formerly of Calder Road, Worcester, cut the chain before stealing the bike valued at £400.

Purser was ordered to complete unpaid work.

A thug who went on a rampage of assaults across Worcestershire sliced his leg open while waiting to be sentenced by magistrates 

Marc Bell of Hooper Close, Powick, admitted seven charges of assault by beating, four charges of assault by beating of an emergency worker, and two criminal damage offences.

Bell committed the assaults across Worcestershire including at McDonald's in Malvern and Evesham, and the Slug and Lettuce in Worcester. 

The 26-year-old was jailed and ordered to pay all the victims compensation

 

Meanwhile it has emerged Rebaz Tahir, owner of the Black & White café, is appealing his sentence from magistrates. 

Gregg Kitson and Julie Bennett, owners of Hopmarket Flowers, were left bloodied after being attacked in their shop by Tahir, the owner of the shop next door. 

We previously reported Tahir was convicted of two counts of assault by beating after a trial at Worcester Magistrates Court, being ordered to do unpaid work.

Now Tahir has taken the case to Worcester Crown Court, appealing the sentence. 

Tahir's appeal will be heard at the higher court in March next year.
