POLICE vans were spotted earlier today at a petrol station following an alleged "robbery".
The Essar petrol station, on Henwick Road, was closed today, with entrances cordoned off.
The vans - marked Crime Scene Investigation - were parked near to the entrance of the Londis shop on the forecourt and the prices for fuel were not being displayed.
A neighbour of the garage told a Worcester News reporter that the garage was "robbed last night" (Saturday, November 5).
However, police were unable to confirm this as nobody was available to comment.
A spokesperson for the garage confirmed an incident had taken place and said they arrived at work early to help clean up this morning. However, they were not able to provide any more details.
