WORCESTER's Christmas lights will be switched on in Cathedral Square later this month.
Saturday, November 26 at 6pm will see the lights being turned on as well as a host of entertainment and live music beforehand.
Worcester BID confirmed that this year's event will see appearances from the Pantomime Dames, the Doorstep Princesses and a special appearance from Father Christmas.
The day's entertainment is set to begin at 4pm, where Cllr Adrian Gregson, mayor of Worcester, will help to switch the lights on.
Last year, hundreds flocked to the city centre to watch the magical Christmas lights switch on.
Before the lights were switched on the crowds were kept entertained by live music and performances from Laura Christopher, local artist Andy Grimwood and the Doorstep Princesses.

It was confirmed earlier this week that this year's lights will not be scaled down despite soaring energy prices.
Towns and cities across the country are preparing to dim their Christmas lights a little earlier this year as energy prices surged in October.
In Watford, Christmas lights would usually stay on till about 4am but this year they are being programmed to turn off earlier on set times in the week.
But Worcester City Council will not let the rising cost of energy bills stop them from putting on Christmas lights this year.
A spokesperson from Worcester City Council said: "We’re pleased to say that Worcester’s Christmas lights will be on for the normal amount of time and that, as a minimum, the City Council will be running the same amount as last year, plus some additional lights in The Shambles and Lower Broad Street provided by Worcester BID."

Decorations were also seen being put up just outside Superdrug on the High Street by a workman in a cherry picker.
And Broad Street has already been lined with Christmas lights.
A large Christmas tree has also been installed in front of St Andrew's Spire, on Deansway, for St Richard's Hospice's Lights of Love campaign, which will officially begin next Friday (November 11).
The tree was donated by Leigh Sinton Christmas Trees, and is set to be illuminated against a backdrop of music from The Salvation Army following a service at Worcester Cathedral which begins at 7pm.
