A FORMER prime minister and RGS Worcester alumni has been shot in an assassination attempt.
Imran Khan, former prime minister of Pakistan, who attended the school between 1971 to 1972, was shot in the leg this morning
He suffered minor injuries when a gunman opened fire at his protest convoy, his party has said.
The prime minister was sent to England and educated at The Royal Grammar School Worcester before attending Keble College, Oxford.
He was a boarder at RGS Worcester in Whiteladies boarding house and he played cricket for the School as well as for Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
He went on to play for Worcestershire and become captain of Pakistan and won the World Cup.
