A READER has shared shocking footage of an impatient driver mounting the kerb to drive along the pavement as children leave a city school.
The dash cam footage was captured in Spetchley Road, Red Hill - 100 yards from Nunnery Wood High School.
The jaw-dropping video shows a driver, not prepared to wait, squeezing through and driving along the pavement in the opposite direction to stationary traffic to his left.
The video shows just how dangerous the unorthodox move could have been as children are then seen walking on the pavement moments later.
And to make matters worse the manoeuvre took place at a time it was raining on Tuesday afternoon (November 1) - which would have made the road conditions even more hazardous.

The reader said: "There was gridlock traffic 100 yards up from the school entrance.
"An impatient driver couldn't be bothered to wait for the traffic to clear so decided to fully mount the pavement and drive along the path towards children who were leaving school at 3.10pm."
The reader added the incident has been reported to the school and West Mercia Police.
Nunnery Wood High School was asked for comment.
