A member of a controversial activist group, which campaigns for animal justice, has revealed why he joined the organisation.
Animal Rebellion said it will be carrying out non-violent protests until its demands to transition society into being more plant-based have been met.
The protests have sparked a national debate after members from the group went viral on Twitter for pouring milk on the floor in supermarkets.
The group also tried to stop lorries from Muller Dairy site in Droitwich from supplying fresh milk across the country.
However, people were left frustrated as they were unable to get to work because the protest closed off the road for the majority of the day.
Worcester News spoke to Craig Welsby, who is an activist from Eckington, near Pershore, and he has said the demands for a plant-based future are 'utterly commonsense and are a win for everyone.'

He said: "I decided to take action with Animal Rebellion because I saw their solution-focused messaging and how they were bringing together both the climate and biodiversity crises.

"Crucially, though, they address the immense suffering of farmed animals in a way the vast majority of climate groups don’t.
"The demands for a plant-based food system are utterly commonsense and are a win for everyone.
"The idea that we can all move forwards together is inspiring.”

Mr Welsby, who works as a ranger for a conservation charity, said: "The actions of Animal Rebellion are definitely having an impact.
"I fully acknowledge that they’re divisive and some people have been disrupted or inconvenienced - which I apologise for.
"However, it’s achieved a national conversation around the need to transition to a plant-based food system in a way never seen before. Even Coleen Nolan was talking about it on Loose Women!

"In my personal life, I’ve had fairly positive responses to the decision I made to take action. Many of my friends and colleagues are very sympathetic to the aims of Animal Rebellion, but they question the means.
"It’s definitely made for some really intense and interesting discussions"
