A WOMAN who threw darts at police has avoided jail.

Chloe Kendrick previously admitted charges of common assault of an emergency worker and failing to answer to bail as soon as practicable at Worcester Magistrates Court.

By admitting those offences Kendrick was in breach of a suspended sentence, (20 months suspended for two years) for grievous bodily harm.

Magistrates previously heard police had initially been called on April 5 this year to her home in Meadow Street, Malvern, as a concern for Kendrick's safety.

Kendrick switched between being cooperative with the officers to saying she was unhappy they were there - becoming abusive, shouting and swearing and demanding they leave the address.

The prosecutor said PC Hallett had followed her to her room before the defendant had picked up a table leg and began making rocking movements towards the officer.

After the officer managed to disarm her, Kendrick then took out three darts from a dart board and threw them at the officer, all of them missing.

At Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday, (October 26), Kendrick was given an absolute discharge for six months, and for the breach she was ordered to pay £30 within 28 days.

Kendrick is still to appear at a breach court on December 1.

Kendrick had a narrow escape from jail earlier this year after admitting a drunk and disorderly charge - a judge deciding not to activate the sentence on that occasion.

She was is in breach of the suspended sentence imposed in July 2021.

In that GBH case she stabbed a former partner through the abdomen and left him for dead, telling him: "Now you know how I feel."

Michael Hall, prosecuting, said at the GBH hearing: "Police attended the home address of Miss Kendrick and found the victim lying on the bed clutching a blood-stained rag.

"He was holding it to his lower abdomen and was in clear pain and distress."

Police identified what was estimated to be a 10 to 15mm laceration below his belly button on the right-hand side.

Kendrick was arrested at the home of a former partner, initially on suspicion of attempted murder.

The victim lost four-and-a-half litres of blood after being stabbed by Kendrick.
