FIGHTER jets are rumoured to have been heard overhead in Malvern this week.
A number of residents reported hearing loud aircraft flying over the town on the morning of October 26.
There are no civilian or military flights recorded as having flown over the town, but it is believed a pair of F-15 fighter jets flew over while on a training flight.
A number of people on the Malvern UK Noticeboard Facebook page reported hearing the aircraft, with several saying they were F-15s.
The fighters, first introduced in the late 1970s, are based at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk.
Despite being an RAF base, the only personnel on the site are from the US 48th Fighter Wing, also known as the Liberty Wing.
The aircraft often fly around the country as part of routine training flights.
Having been in service for nearly 50 years, the United States Air Force has said it intends to retire its F-15s by 2026.
