A WATERFALL of flood water burst through a drain pipe in a wall on a popular walking route along the River Severn.

Flash flooding over the weekend caused the water to rapidly overflow and cover the entirety of the walkway near Kleve Walk, Diglis.

The video, filmed by Steve Winfield, shows the water rapidly flowing out of the wall and moving into the river.

The flood waters also forced a manhole cover to dislodge and created a mini fountain along the path.

It was taken on Sunday morning (October 23) when flash flooding caused issues across Worcestershire.

Water could be seen pooling in the middle of roads and rising over the pavements on many roads across Worcester.

St John's, in Worcester, was particularly affected by the flash flooding, with rainwater overflowing onto the pavements on several major roads.

Tybridge Street saw lots of water across all lanes of the carriageway from early on, with initial fears the water would make the road impassable.

Aldi, Mcdonalds and The Range's car parks also show lots of water building up at the entrance.

On Malvern Road, a major pool of water could be seen across the centre of the road, with drivers passing through the water at slow speeds.

Some residents were seen trying to clear drains on the sides of the road in order to prevent further flooding across the road.

Further down the road, at the Lower Wick Roundabout, major flooding could be seen on both sides of the Marks and Spencer petrol station and heading towards the dual carriageways.

It is set to be a wet half term with rain clearing to sunshine and showers on Wednesday.

According to Met Office, it will stay on the unsettled side through Thursday and Friday, with sunshine and showers.

The days will often be windy, but mild for the time of year.
