A WORCESTERSHIRE pop star is performing on BBC Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.

Becky Hill, originally of Bewdley, announced she will be performing on the popular dance show this Sunday.

In a post shared with her 396,000 Instagram followers, the singer teased she "might be doing more than one song".

She said: "You guessed it! I’m doing BBC Strictly Come Dancing this Sunday night at 6.45pm on BBC One.

"I can’t wait to be the first female guest of this series and I might be doing more than one song."

Becky Hill is behind some of the biggest dance tracks of the last few years, including huge hits such as Crazy What Love Can Do, Remember (with David Guetta), Lose Control and My Heart Goes (La Di Da).

She also saw her song History, recorded with DJ Joel Corry, reach number 1 on the Official Big Top 40.

Every month, she is averaging over 19,000,000 listeners on the streaming giant Spotify and has also written music for some of the biggest names in pop.

The singer has already had quite a year, picking up Best Dance Act at the Brit Awards in February, performing at Wembley Stadium before the final of the Women’s Euros and appearing on the hit ITV show Love Island.

She first rose to fame by appearing on BBC's The Voice, where she featured in the first series in 2012.

She was a part of Jessie J's team, reaching the semi-final before she was eliminated.
