A MAN has admitted possession with intent to supply class A drugs, after police discovered Class A drugs hidden in Kinder Surprise eggs. 

Andrew Poulton-Smith appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Tuesday, (October 18), admitting possession of a controlled drug of class A (diamorphine) with intent to supply, and admitting class A (crack cocaine) also with intent to supply. 

Poulton-Smith, of Woden Road East, Wednesbury, appeared via videolink to the court, confirming his name and entering his guilty pleas.

The court heard the offences were committed in Worcester on September 15 this year.

We previously reported Poulton-Smith was arrested after police discovered a large quantity of suspected Class A drugs, worth thousands of pounds, in a white Audi A5 in a car park off Tybridge Street.

The drugs were recovered from a bumbag with some concealed inside Kinder eggs.

Poulton-Smith also admitted breaching a suspended jail sentence. 

That was given to the 22-year-old on April 26, 2021; six week jail suspended for 18 months for possession of a bladed article.

The judge said: "You understand you are at risk of having that suspended sentence activated?" Poulton-Smith replying "yes". 

Judge Nicolas Cartwright adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be completed by the probation service, and for a basis of plea to be submitted by Poulton-Smith's defence team.

The judge added Poulton-Smith would be sentenced at crown court on November 30. 

Poulton-Smith was remanded in custody.
