POLICE have revealed why a helicopter was seen flying back and forth over Worcester last night (Wednesday).
Residents across Worcester took to social media to post their sightings of the aircraft and ask why it was circling overhead.
West Mercia Police said it was nothing to do with any incidents they had been called out to.
However, National Police Air Service said there was an aircraft flying overhead between 8.30pm and 9pm for a training flight and there were no other police helicopters reported in the area at the time.
The National Police Air Service delivers a fully borderless air service to all police forces across England and Wales 24 hours, every day of the year.
The aircrafts travel at an average speed of 138mph to help assist officers on the ground during major incidents.
