IT IS regarded as one of the city's most haunted buildings - but what I didn't expect to find out was that one of the ghosts is sexist.
Fortunately for me, Daisy the ghost likes terrorising men who visit The Commandery.
"You'll be fine , she only picks on men," my guide reassured me.
But while I was safe from Daisy, it was hard not to feel a chill down my spine as I wandered the halls of the historic building.
The sun was setting as I entered the former Royalist headquarters and I could see bats flying around The Commandery from the corner of my eye which added to the eerie atmosphere.
During my visit, I asked my tour guide a list of questions she was probably expecting.
Do you think there are ghosts here? Have you ever seen a ghost wandering around? Do the ghosts play any practical jokes? Should I start believing in ghosts?

To find out the answers for yourself, you will have to pay a visit to the after-dark tours taking place on certain dates this month.
But I can reveal a little of its haunting history.
Back to Daisy the ghost, she is thought to be a young girl who apparently haunts the Solar Room and puts most of her energy towards terrorising the men visiting her room.

I'm not a big believer in ghosts myself but even I was re-evaluating that stance as I wandered around the dimly lit halls.
If you are a non-believer too, the tours are a great way to experience one of the city's most well-known tourist attractions in a unique way.

The most gruesome tale was told in the Victorian Kitchen and there is a drawing of a skeleton on the floor of the room which was built on the site of an early medical chapel.
I won't spoil the spooky surprise.
Did it turn me into a believer? Possibly not. But I did look over my shoulder when I heard a bump in the night as I made my way to the exit.
After Dark - The Commandery tour

Each day will run two tours, one at 6.30pm and the second will start at 8.30pm.
There is an accessible tour on Thursday 20 October at 5.30pm, which allows for extra time to move around the building.
Tours are for over 16s but there will be an under-16s tour during the half-term holiday at 6.30pm on Tuesday, 25 October.
