A PUB in Worcester city centre is set to close due to renovations later this week.
The Horn and Trumpet, on Angel Street, announced that it will be closing its doors on Sunday, October 16 for the work to be carried out.
The pub will remain closed for 13 days, reopening on Friday, October 28.
Contractors will be working on the interior and exterior of the pub as well as carrying out some building work.
The staff apologised for the closure but told customers it will be worth the wait.
Customers are eager to see the results of the extensive makeover to the pub.
A Facebook post from the pub said: "We are closing for a refurbishment. Sunday, October 16 is our final day of being open.
"We re-open Friday, October 28 and apologise for any inconvenience caused, but it’ll be worth it."
"There will be both internal and external work being completed, with more space being created inside the pub, as well as remedial building work which is needed.

Marstons have 20 different locations in Worcester alone, including venues such as The Kings Head Inn, The Coach and Horses and The Anchor Inn.
The pub serves a variety of food and drinks during the day and transforms into a nightclub in the evenings.
The pub also has regular live sports shown and a pool table.
It follows the refurbishment of another city centre pub last month.
Also in the city centre, The Plough on Fish Street has closed temporarily and is set to reopen on Monday (October 17).
The pub is closed for 'staff maintenance' to give the 'knackered' team a break.
