A SUSPECTED burglar was cornered on the floor at a city pharmacy during an alleged break-in - thanks to a very big police dog.
Police were called to the scene of a burglary at D L Ogle pharmacy in St John's in Worcester on Sunday.
Dramatic photos, shared by a city police inspector, show the suspect on the ground inside the pharmacy and the big police dog and skilled handler who were both instrumental in the arrest.

Inspector Al Denny of West Mercia Police said officers were directed to the location immediately and responded 'with vigour, supported by a Police Dog unit'.
"Upon attending, the alarms were sounding loudly and we saw the suspect had gained entry by smashing the glass in the front door.

"Officers saw movement in the building, believing it to be the burglar. PC Daniel Hines attended at the same time as Worcester patrol officers and immediately sent his four-legged friend, Police Dog Alvin, into the shop.
"PD Alvin, a very strong and fast Belgian Malinios, immediately sprinted out of sight to the rear of the store where he successfully detained our alleged burglar preventing his escape from the crime scene."
A male in his late thirties was immediately arrested for burglary and arrested on suspicion of another residential burglary.
This suspect is being investigated for these and other offences.
Inspector Denny described it as 'a good result for the local patrol teams, PC Hines and PD Alvin who continue to respond to calls of service from the local community, and a demonstration of our commitment in responding to burglary offences which we recognise as having a huge impact upon those who become a victim of this dreadful crime'.
Chief constable Pippa Mills said last week: "Whilst the number of burglaries locally is low, the impact of being a victim can be devastating.
"That’s why it is our policy to attend all burglaries.
"We see the importance of this, both in terms of evidence gathering and in ensuring the right support is in place for victims and that we can help them feel safe in their homes."
