A NEW business rolled out a red carpet for its opening in Worcester this weekend (October 8 and 9) closing a road for its celebrations.
A crowd gathered outside In The Streets as it opened in Trinity Street with smoke bombs being set off and live performers taking over the area on Sunday.
The shop is co-owned by Aaron Ampleford, Krystian Kochanczyk, Travis Wiggins and Harrison Wood and sells "exclusive" designer clothing.
To commemorate the shop's launch, the owners arranged for live performers, live music, colourful smoke and free pizzas from Fireaway to take over Trinity Street.
Owners also arranged for a red carpet and a velvet rope to be outside the shop alongside security guards as people queued to get in.
Mr Ampleford explained that in the run-up to the shop's opening, he contacted the council and police to ask about the performers in the road.

He said: "They told us that we couldn't close the road all day but that we could for a short period if we felt it was a risk to public health and safety.
"So, the road was only closed for about 20 minutes."
The owners have been renovating the shop for four months in preparation for the opening this weekend.
Mr Ampleford added: "I'm originally from Newcastle but I moved to Worcester about a year ago. The others are all from Worcester, they are local lads.
"I wanted to open the shop in Worcester because there is no competition.

"I think people will come from Birmingham to shop here. There's nothing like it in the area.
"The clothes are exclusive because we buy them directly from the source. We order them from Paris.
"Yesterday was crazy, the amount of people that turned up - it was mental.
"Today was really hectic too. The DJ fell through so we had to find a replacement at the last minute.
"We had to delay the opening from 12.30pm until 2pm but it has all gone as smoothly as I think it could have done apart from that."
