He also adds grape wood, tradescantia, a fern, and an oak leaf fig inside the container.
In order to make the home for the spider, Mr Newell uses a front opening container because spiders tend to make webs on the top of the terrariums
Although most people either love or hate spiders, most of the people commenting thought the spider was incredibly cute.

Ben Newell at the Chelsea Flower Show
During the summer the terrarium expert won a gold medal for his display at Chelsea Flower Show.
Mr Newell showcased over 30 glass terrariums at this year's Chelsea Flower Show this week.
He said: "We're delighted that all of our hard work has paid off.
"My terrariums were part of a larger display, and I collaborated with other people.
"Each individual display is judged and given bronze, silver or gold.
"And we have won a gold medal today.
"I took 50 terrariums and put them in the back of my Honda and drove very carefully to Central London.
"Every single terrarium made it, thankfully the seat stayed flat."
The TikTok star always brushes off his social media success but has racked up almost one million followers and his most popular video has over 65 million views.
