This popular restaurant is known for its Mediterranean cuisine, but its Sunday roasts are still worth a visit.

A first-time reviewer highlighted the parsnips and Yorkshire puddings as some of the best parts of their meal.

The review said: "This was our first visit to Ego. We had the Sunday roast, I had the beef and my husband had the lamb.

"Our table was booked for 4.30pm so wasn't sure how fresh the food would be, but need not have worried.

"It was all very tasty and hot. I loved the parsnips and great Yorkshire pudding. I like gravy as well, so I was very pleased that you also get some extra in a little jar.

"We both had desserts; the crumble and bread and butter pudding, again both very tasty. Looking forward to going back."

This canal-side pub gathered a dazzling review from somebody visiting Worcester all the way from Essex.

The reviewer described her meal as "a plate of loveliness" and could not find a single fault with her experience.

The review said: "I can honestly say this is the best roast I've had in a pub restaurant anywhere.

"I can only describe the beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast and mashed potato, roast parsnip, cauliflower cheese, selection of vegetables and delicious gravy as a plateful of loveliness.

"I can only think of one negative - Worcester's a three-and-a-half-hour drive from my home. Lovely friendly staff add the final touch, hope to see you again next year."
