A statement has been released by both organisers of the Big Sleep Out and the Big 90s Festival, saying the events will go ahead despite the ongoing situation at Worcester Warriors.
READ MORE: Warriors' Foundation financially stable
We have previously reported how the work of the Worcester Warriors Community Foundation will continue.
A statement released by the foundation said contingency plans had been put in place that would allow all community programmes to continue.
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) announced that Warriors were being put into administration.
The RFU also confirmed that the club had been suspended from all rugby activity, including playing in the Gallagher Premiership.
A spokesperson for the Big 90’s Festival Worcester released a statement on Facebook which said: "We are aware of the ongoing situation with Worcester Warriors Rugby Club.
"Our event takes place in a car park at the Stadium which is a separate entity itself and the event is at this time going ahead as planned."
An urgent statement has also been released by organisers of the Big Sleep Out from Carol Hart - chief executive of the Warriors Foundation, Jonathan Sutton who is chief executive of St Paul’s Hostel and Mel Kirk, chief executive of Maggs Day Centre.
It said: "In light of the current situation with Sixways Stadium and The Worcester Warriors, we want to reassure all fundraisers and donors that The Warriors Foundation is a separate entity to the club and stadium, and remains financially stable. The foundation retains the full, ongoing support of Maggs and St Paul’s Hostel, and our 2022 event sponsor Hewett Recruitment.
"The Big Worcester Sleep Out will still take place at Sixways stadium as planned on October 14.
"If for any reason this should change prior to the event, we have a contingency location in place in very close proximity which we will communicate if appropriate with all fundraisers.
"Now more than ever, we need the support of the local community to help us drive awareness of homelessness in Worcestershire, and raise much-needed funds for all three charities that organise and facilitate The Big Worcester Sleep Out.
