MAJOR delays in Worcester city centre are being caused due to roadworks.
Severn Trent Water work taking place over the weekend, on The Tything, has overrun and temporary traffic lights are still in place.
According to the AA Traffic Checker, slow-moving traffic has been reported along The Tything and continuing onto Barbourbe Road, Ombersley Road and Droitwich Road.
The slow-moving traffic is also affecting Castle Street, heading towards the junction with The Tything.
A picture was taken by an eyewitness this morning, showing lots of traffic building up before Croft Road on the approach to Castle Street.
Worcestershire County Council's highways and Travel team have said that Severn Trent Water is being contacted to get the lights removed as soon as possible.
