TWO BONFIRES which became "out of control" had to be extinguished by emergency services in Worcester.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service attended two bonfires in Worcester in the space of an hour yesterday evening (Sunday, September 25).
On Keswick Drive, a single crew from Worcester was sent to extinguish a bonfire at a property which had set a fence alight.

A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:"We arrived at 8.29pm and used a single hose-reel jet to extinguish the flames.
"The crew departed at 8.45pm."
In a short space of time, another fire was reported on King Street, where a single crew from Worcester was required to extinguish the fire.

On arrival, the crew discovered a pile of rubbish was set ablaze and left unattended.
The crew arrived at 9.07pm and left at 9.20pm.
It is unknown how the King Street fire was started.
