THE son of musician Nigel Kennedy has appeared in court accused of being involved in a conspiracy to supply cocaine.

Sark Kennedy, son of violinist Nigel, appeared at Worcester Crown Court for what was set to be a plea and trial preparation hearing.

Kennedy, who appeared unrepresented at the hearing, entered no plea to the one count he faces - conspiring with others to supply a class A drug, cocaine.

It is alleged Kennedy was involved in the conspiracy to supply cocaine in Malvern between January 2020 and August 2021.

Judge Martin Jackson told Kennedy, who appeared in the dock of courtroom two, that he would not be asked for his plea.

Kennedy, of Cowleigh Road, Malvern, was told he must attend the next hearing of the case which is scheduled to take place on October 13.

Judge Jackson told the 26-year-old that in the meantime he has conditional bail, with conditions he must not contact - directly or indirectly - the co-accused in the case.

The judge added that the trial date involving the other defendants has already been set for March 11, 2024.
