An air ambulance landed on Pound Bank Road in Malvern this afternoon after a woman came off an E-scooter. 

An ambulance and a paramedic officer were also at the scene and she was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "A woman has been taken to hospital after coming off an E-scooter in Malvern.

"WMAS was called to Pound Bank Road at just after 3pm on Wednesday afternoon. 

"An ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent to the scene. 

"The woman was assessed and treated for her injuries before she was taken by ambulance to Worcestershire Royal Hospital. 

"Her condition is not life-threatening."

A resident of the area who was walking nearby was at the scene of the crash

They said: "A 20-year-old woman who had been riding was knocked off. 

"I was on foot walking past and I heard a bang.

"A lady pulled over and called the ambulance while I held her and tried to stem the bleeding.

"She had a head injury that was gushing with blood, I was covered in blood.

"She was out cold and then she started making some noises.

"She had a pain in her side as well so I don't know if she had any internal injuries.

"I managed to call her Dad from her phone so by that point she was able to speak.

"He came straight away and I stayed with her and just stemmed the bleeding while we waited for the ambulance.

"She was taken away on a stretcher into the air ambulance."
