A man who punched a pizza delivery driver in the back of the head has been given a suspended prison sentence.
David Brant admitted hitting the man and kicking his wing mirror of his car causing criminal damage.
Worcester Magistrates Court heard Brant, 27, had attacked the man outside Dominos Pizza, in Pickersleigh Road, Malvern, on Saturday, March 29.
Rob McRory, defending, said Brant, of Tallow Hill, Worcester, had no recollection of the incident because he was so drunk.
Brant also admitted breaching a conditional discharge and failing to surrender to bail.
District Judge Bruce Morgan called Brant's record of previous convictions "appalling" and sentenced him to three months imprisonment for battery and one month for criminal damage, to run concurrently.
Brant was also sentenced to one month imprisonment for breaching the conditional discharge and one month for the bail offence, to run concurrently, but consecutively to the three months.
The four months total was suspended for 12 months and Brant also received a community order with supervision and an alcohol treatment programme for 12 months.
He must pay £30 compensation for criminal damage, £100 compensation to the delivery driver and £60 costs.
