OLYMPIC medal hope Zac Purchase was confirmed in the Great Britain team for next week's Munich World Cup regatta.
Worcester Rowing Club veteran Matt Beechey and heavyweight sculler Alex Gregory are also included.
Barring accident or injury, King's School Worcester product Purchase is a near-certainty for the Olympics after taking world bronze last year with lightweight doubles partner Mark Hunter.
But Beechey and Gregory, in his quadruple scull, are going to have to fight their way on board the team for China.
In Munich, Purchase, 23 tomorrow, teams up again with Hunter, while Beechey has a new partner in the men's lightweight pairs in 2007 72kg world quadruple scull medallist Rob Williams.
Beechey, 31, is a veteran of 10 world championships and would love to cap his career with an appearance at Beijing although the pairs is not an Olympic event.
