A WORRIED resident has raised concerns about clay pigeon shooting in Kempsey.
Ian Barnes of Rookery Road, Kempsey, said he had seen four or five people shooting clay pigeons at The Hams in Kempsey near the River Severn.
Mr Barnes raised the issue at an annual parish meeting at the community centre in Kempsey on Monday.
He said: "They're discharging shotguns at clays. I was told it was a private field.
"But surely it shouldn't go ahead if it's going across a public footpath. They have a machine that fires the clays. They are on the footpath. I have photographs of them."
Parish council chairman David Harrison said it was not common land and was under private ownership.
He said: "You need to take it up with the local farmer and police."
PC Allen Naulls said at the meeting he would look into the matter.
