PUPILS from two Worcester schools spent the day picking up other people's rubbish when they took part in separate litter picks.
Youngsters at Gorse Hill Primary School and Lyppard Grange Primary School got involved in the events, organised by Worcester City Council's ranger team, at local parks near to their schools.
Assistant ranger Heather Bainbridge said: "It was a huge success. Both schools collected about 16.5kg (36.3lb) of recyclable waste, which they sorted, and about twice as much non-recyclable rubbish. The children were all very enthusiastic and it was great to get them involved and interested in looking after their environment."
