our own Julia Roberts has been appointed county chairman, which we are very happy about.
We welcomed Jane as a new member and a letter of thanks was read out from Tenbury St Michael WI, who had enjoyed their visit when Brian Draper talked about the river Teme.
We have been invited to join them for two special occasions.
Mary Kipping gave a report on the annual council meeting and mentioned the Yorkshire Tea community bursaries for which members decided to apply.
Suggestions are wanted for the programme for 2009 and names were taken for various forthcoming events.
The talk was by Ray Sturdy, who took us on a ride around the Ring of Kerry, all 314 miles of it. He had done it as a sponsored cycle ride in September 2001 in aid of Mencap.
