A SCARECROW covered in anti-speeding signs recently appeared on a busy road in Warndon.
The scarecrow, with the face of a stern-looking Homer Simpson, was taped to a lamppost along the side of the road.
A sign on the right arm reading "please slow down" and also a 30mph speed sign on the left arm can be seen in the image.
On the body of the scarecrow, a message said: "We need permanent speed cameras. Do your job, Mr Hodgson."
The sign is referring to Cllr Stephen Hodgson, Warndon Parish North city councillor, who oversees the area.

Cllr Hodgson said: "I am not sure who put the scarecrow up but clearly it is a sign that the community is unhappy with the level of speeding in the area.
"Speeding in the area has been an issue for quite a while now and Dugdale Drive is one of the worst areas.
"As a parish councillor, as well as a city councillor, I am responsible for the speed detection equipment.
"At the moment, every one in four drivers we are seeing speeding on the road which is totally not acceptable.
"I certainly want to make the problem known so I am sending the findings to West Mercia Police.
"I am looking to update some of the older equipment we have and focus more on the Dugdale Drive area as clearly what is in place right now is not working."
The scarecrow has since been removed from the area.
