RESIDENTS of Kempsey are to be consulted over a suggestion by the parish council to extend the village conservation area at Hatfield Brook.
The conservation area was designated in 1978 and has now been reviewed for the first time by Malvern Hills District Council.
Following comments by Kempsey Parish Council, suggesting a 10 metre strip of land south of Hatfield Brook should be included, the district council is to ask residents what they think about the idea.
The district council's planning committee has recommended that, as long as there are no objections, the south side of Church Street and an area north of Main Road south should be added.
The areas of Garth Court, the homes in Meadow Close, the new homes alongside the Stores, the new properties behind Woodland House and the meadows to the south and west of the church will be left out.
