TEENAGERS will race around a Worcester park tomorrow testing out brand new, high-tech play equipment.
At noon, the I-Play in Cripplegate Park will be officially unveiled and used for the first time. The interactive climbing frame, which is vandal-resistant and designed to counteract childhood obesity, was bought earlier this year after the Friends of Cripplegate Park and Worcester City Council won a televised competition for lottery funding.
The opening will be part of a larger Cripplegate celebration called Party in the Park.
Starting at 11am, visitors will be greeted by a juggler on stilts, make a willow sculpture, learn the ancient Brazilian art of Capoeira dancing, and play musical instruments with Ian Craigan.
There will be refreshments available in the park's Sons of Rest building, as well as a smoothie and ice-cream vendors.
