A MALVERN woman has admitting kicking another woman during a 'moment of silliness'.
Gail Barnes, aged 34, admitted the incident when she appeared before Worcester magistrates today.
Barnes, of Elgar Avenue, Malvern had previously denied assaulting Pauline Golding on New Year's Eve last year.
Dale Sheehan, prosecuting, said CCTV footage clearly showed Barnes lifting her left leg and kicking Miss Golding in the knee.
"In terms of injury it exacerbated an operation which appears to have left Miss Golding on crutches for a couple of days," he said. "She would have received anything more than bruising but it exacerbated an operation."
He said Miss Golding had since died - not due to her injuries.
In mitigation, Mark Lister said Barnes was of previous good character.
"It was a moment of silliness," he added.
Chair of the magistrates Lynne Brown said as it was not a sustained attack or happened regulary, Barnes would be fined a total of £265.
