WITNESSES are being sought after a man alledgedly punched a car and assaulted a female driver.
The incident took place during rush hour - at about 8.40am - in Flag Meadow Walk, Barbourne, Worcester, on Monday, April 21. Police are now appealing for commuters in the area at the time to come forward and help the investigation.
The male driver, who was waiting in a queue of traffic, allegedly got out of his vehicle and approached the female. He then punched her car and assaulted a woman as she sat in the driver's seat.
PC Mark Slade said: "I would ask any commuters travelling that day, or parents on the school run, to get in touch if they witnessed an incident in this location.
"There were many people around at the time that could hold valuable information regarding this alleged incident."
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and in now on bail while enquiries continue. Witnesses are asked to call police on 08457 444888, quoting 621-S-210408, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
