TWO men were found lying on the ground after a car crash near Droitwich.
The men, both in their 30s, had been involved in a collision that left one car in a ditch.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the scene in Hanbury Road, Hanbury, near Droitwich, just after 5.30pm on Wednesday. An incident support officer in a rapid response vehicle was first to arrive, followed by an ambulance crew and the County Air Ambulance from Strensham.
An ambulance service spokesman said: "Both cars were very badly damaged and one of them was in a ditch. Two men, the respective drivers of their cars, were found lying on the ground.
"One was suffering from pains to his pelvis, a shoulder and his right arm. He was also displaying signs of being in shock. He was given pain relief at the scene and was immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar before being flown to Worcestershire Royal Hospital."
The second driver had a chest injury and was taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for further treatment.
