TWO people were taken to hospical following a car crash in Worcestershire.

The ambulance service was called to Hanbury Road in Hanbury near Bromsgrove, shortly after 5.30pm this evening.

An Incident Support Officer was first on scene in a rapid response vehicle, followed by an ambulance crew and the County Air Ambulance from Strensham.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival, crews found two cars which had been involved in a collision. Both cars were very badly damaged and one of them was in a ditch. Two men, both in their 30s and the respective drivers of their cars, were found lying on the ground.

"One was suffering from pains to his pelvis, a shoulder and his right arm. He was also displaying signs of being in shock. He was given pain relief at the scene and was immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar before being flown to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

"The other driver had a chest injury. He was taken by land ambulance to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for further assessment and treatment."
