A FAMILY is desperate for the safe return of their computer containing valuable photos and school coursework after it was stolen from their Worcester home.
The Packard Bell computer and Xerox flat screen were taken from Elizabeth and Phil Evans's house in Homestead Avenue, Warndon Villages. On it were precious family photographs, including their youngest daughter's first Christmas, and their older daughter's GCSE coursework.
"We had not backed up the last six to eight months of photos," said Mrs Evans, aged 39.
"My husband was really gutted and I was really hurt by it. I went into shock.
"We just want the pictures and work, they are no use to anybody."
Pictures of their daughter Abigail's first birthday where among other family pictures not backed up on the PC.
As well as the pictures, their 15-year-old daughter, who attends The River School, lost all her geography, PE and English coursework which was saved on the computer.
"It was all due in the week we were burgled and she is trying to re-do it all," Mrs Evans said.
"The school have given her extensions and said they will talk to the exam board, but she is going to have to do extra work."
The house was burgled on Monday, April 14, at about 3pm and police are investigating it. If anyone knows where the computer is they are urged to hand it into police or contact them on 08457 444 888 quoting 489/s/140408.
