A CITY centre opticians was today holding a special English-themed St George's Day to raise money for charity.
Staff dressed up in red and white and decorated the Specsavers shop before serving English tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits, scones and jam to customers.
The event, was taking place between 10am and 4pm, at the shop in Broad Street, Worcester today to raise money for County Air Ambulance.
Director Randeep Singh said: "County Air Ambulance make such a difference to peoples' lives and yet rely totally on donations. We wanted to support them and thought the fit with the red of the charity logo and of St George's Day was perfect."
Senior receptionist Val Paine said: "Without your help the County Air Ambulance cannot operate and who knows when we might need them."
