TEN Herefordshire people have been rewarded for their knowledge in waste prevention.
The winners correctly answered a quiz in the Mission Impossible News that was posted through their doors in February this year.
The four-page newsletter gave people tips to help reduce, re-use and recycle household waste. Contestants were asked to name five ways of reducing waste, with clues from a drawing.
The winners were among hundreds of people who entered the competition to win a range of waste-busting goodies including a Bosch AXT 2200 Rapid Shredder and an InSinkErator 65 food waste disposer.
One of the star prizes was a family trip to the Eden Project in Cornwall.
This was won by Amanda Bailey from Hereford, who said: "I'm delighted we entered the competition. We already recycle a lot of our waste but we now plan to try to reduce the amount of rubbish that we make in the first place."
