A CHIMNEY fire near an historic Worcestershire property took firefighters four hours to put out.
The fire, which started in a wood-burning stove at the Red House off Witley Court drive in Great Witley, started at around 9.35pm yesterday.
The property is close to the famous Witley Court, which was gutted by fire in the 1930s.
A spokesman for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue said: "Fortunately the fire last night wasn't that serious.
"The people got themselves out and called the fire brigade.
"Nobody was hurt, nobody had to be rescued and the property was saved," he added.
The next-door neighbours house also had to be entered by firefighters to ensure the fire had not spread.
Crews from Stourport, Kidderminster and Worcester attended the scene and left at around 1.20am.
