TOMORROW'S bobbies on the beat got the chance to explore the inside of a police car and grill an officer about his duties during a school visit.
PC Glen Williams, of Gloucestershire police's traffic department, is a parent at Callow End Primary School and spent a morning with children talking about his role.
Class one teacher Sarah Beard said: "We are currently doing a topic about people who help us. We have set up a role play area as a police station and the children have been exploring what the police do.
"We are very fortunate that one of our parents is a police officer and he came in to school to talk to the children about what he does.
"They had a look inside the car and work the siren, which they loved. They also tried on the uniform and he showed them a video of a car chase. It was very good and the children had a wonderful time."
