AN expert on global climate change will be sharing his views at Colwall next month.
Dr John Turner, a member of the British Antarctic Survey, will give an illustrated talk on Antarctica and global climate change at Colwall village hall on Saturday, May 3, at 7pm.
Dr Turner, deputy general secretary of the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences, says: "Antarctica is the coldest, highest, windiest and driest continent on earth. It plays a crucial role in the global climate system."
He promises a light but informative presentation.
There is a licensed bar with supper provided before the talk.
Tickets, priced £15, are available by ringing 01684 563269, 01684 568969 or 01684 563429.
