A worker at a Worcester firm whose daughter uses Acorns children's hospice will be among a group of colleagues taking part in a fund-raising zip line event.
Steven Snead, who works at Skills for Security, in Barbourne Road, agreed to take part in the physical challenge after his family experienced the hospice's services.
His nine-year-old daughter Ellen suffers from the rare muscle condition, myofibular myopathy, and stays at Acorns for short breaks.
Mr Snead said: "She really enjoys her time at Acorns."
He and eight other colleagues will be taking part in the hospice's zip line challenge at Eastnor Castle on Sunday, May 11.
The company has already contributed £1,000 towards the hospice and chief executive David Greer said it was the organisation's way of giving something back to the community.
To register for the Acorns Eastnor Castle Zip Line, call the Acorns fund-raising office on 01905 761220 or email sophie.james@ acorns.org.uk.
