KINGS, queens and fairy godmothers will bring enchantment to a Worcestershire stage next month.
The Vienna Festival Ballet company will perform Sleeping Beauty at Evesham Arts Centre on Sunday, May 11. With haunting music from Tchaikovsky, the ballet tells the story of Princess Aurora. Cursed by the wicked fairy Carabosse, Aurora pierces her finger and falls into a deep sleep for 100 years. She is woken by a kiss from Prince Florimund, who, guided by the Lilac Fairy, overcomes Carabosse's obstacles to find his true love.
