A MAN has been released following a stabbing in a quiet Worcester road.
A 20-year-old man was arrested after reports of an assault in St Mark’s Close on Thursday, September 8.
However, West Mercia Police said he has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
A spokesperson for the force has also said there is no update on the victim, who was previously reported to have suffered a “serious injury”.
Officers were called to the scene at around 4pm and remained in the area for several hours after carrying out door-to-door enquiries.
West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended, along with a Midlands Air Ambulance helicopter which landed nearby.
A WMAS spokesperson said at the time: "We were called to reports of a stabbing in St Marks Close, Worcester at 4.10pm.
"An ambulance, paramedic officer, critical care paramedic and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended.
"Crews treated one male on scene who had sustained serious injuries before he was conveyed by land ambulance on blue lights to hospital for further emergency care."

Neighbours said they could hear the victim crying for help from their homes and promptly rushed to his aid.
One resident, Leon Harris, said: "I was just in the house and I heard this scream.
"I looked out and the guy was shouting and walking around.
"He came down the road just across from my house and I heard him shout “I’ve been stabbed, I’ve been stabbed.
"He was holding on to a bin and a girl came over to help him.
"Then he said “I’ve got to lie down” and then fell to the floor.
"It was really shocking, especially for this neighbourhood."
Another neighbour added: “I had just come home from work and was having a tea in the back garden.
"This is normally a really quiet street. You don’t expect to look out and see all those police.”
