AN elderly man who has been denied a wet room for over four years is expected to receive a date for the work soon.
John Hughes, aged 80, previously said he was refused a wet room by Platform Housing despite his disability and mobility issues.
Mr Hughes says he's waited four years for the issue to be resolved at his home in Sheepscombe Drive, Warndon.
Alongside the issues with his bathroom, Mr Hughes also claimed he was waiting for over three weeks for his boiler to be fixed, which had left him without hot water.

Platform Housing issued a full apology to Mr Hughes for the lack of action, and said they were going to get in touch in order to assess the situation.
Marion Duffy, chief operations officer at Platform Housing Group, said: "We are so sorry to hear about Mr Hughes' wet room and boiler issues.
"It is unacceptable that he has to wait this length of time.
"We sincerely apologise for the delay and we will be contacting Mr Hughes to arrange a convenient time for us to visit him to assess the work required and repair the boiler."
Following the article, Platform Housing has since confirmed that they have made contact with John Hughes and have started to undertake surveys on his property.
Once the job details are known, a date will be confirmed to install the wet room.

He has lived in his flat for the last 25 years.
