Susanna French owner of London House Cafe was so moved by the kind offer of free labour that she offered the team a full English breakfast on the house.
She said: "I was angry and upset that someone would be so thoughtless.
"But the lovely thing to come out of this is that a local person, Emran Hussain, took it upon himself to help out and arrange for the step to be fixed.
"I supplied the materials and then yesterday, Andy and Matt from Resinbound Malvern laid the new slab."
Resinbound Malvern is a team of professional local installers of resin-bound surfaces including driveways, patios and paths.
Customers have praised the team for stepping in to help while the cafe owner praised Malvern Link's community spirit.
Susanna said she had never met Emran, Andy or Matt before, and wanted to reward them all with a free breakfast for their support.
She said: "We have never met these people and it was so kind of them to do this for us.
"It shows that there is a strong community spirit in Malvern Link. We look forward to them coming in for our speciality full English breakfast on the house as a thank you."
